RF acquisition and analog optical signal transmission for MRI environments.

Development of an RF front-end for MRI applications. The current target frequencies are approximately 100 MHz for 1 T systems and 300 MHz for 3 T systems. The chain is intended to amplify and down-convert the RF signal before transferring the analog information optically at approximately 1 MHz.
Separate laboratory testing was performed on the analog fiber-optic transmitter/receiver path before integration into the full MRI RF front-end.
Integration of low-noise amplification, frequency conversion, PLL/VCO local-oscillator generation and analog optical transmission into a complete RF front-end.
